Have you ever wondered what makes Dry Cleaning different from normal machine washing? In simple terms, dry cleaning is a process for textiles that doesn't involve water - although despite the name the clothes DO get wet!
Clothes or other textiles are placed in a large industrial washer with dry cleaning solution to remove the dirt. They are then dried in the same machine before being professionally pressed to remove wrinkles.
The dry part of the name simply means that no water is used, instead of soaking them in water and detergent, only the dry cleaning solution is used.
